September 11th...Back in the Lower 48

we crossed the border into the US at Blaine, Washington yesterday afternoon.  Was a bit of a hassle, as we had a rifle with us and did have the paperwork that we needed.  But we had to pull over so they could check the serial numbers.  We had to go in and stand in line and wait for someone to go out and check the numbers.  We were there close to an hour.
So we drove about 20 miles on Interstate 5 and had the scare of our lifetime!! Some idiot driver in front of us was either stopped or just barley moving, anyway when Buck realized that we were coming up on him really fast he slammed on the brakes, but it takes a while to get this stopped. He finally was able to slide in the right hand lane or we would have ran right over him.  We got off on an exit immediately, knowing that something was wrong.  Both front tires had flat spots, so we ended up finding a tire shop, and had to replace all four truck tires.  The 5th wheel tires had locked up too, but they were okay.  It was so scary!!! Worse than driving on that Sea to Sky Hwy the other day.
Those tires were just a year old too!! But once again God was taking care of us and no one was hurt.
It happened just outside of Ferndale,WA and we have a friend that lives here, that we met in Quartzsite, AZ.  So we had dinner with her last night and she drove us around and showed us some of the sites in the area.   It was nice to see her and it gave us a chance to unwind and relax a bit after our scary experience.

September 12
We are still in Ferndale at the RV Park and had a good day.  The weather has been so nice, warm and sunny.   We drove up to Mt Baker today and another beautiful drive. (We do love Mountains)

We are leaving in the morning heading to Port Angeles.  It is on the edge of  Olympia National Park, so we probably stay in that area for 2 or 3 days.
These are all from our trip to Mt Baker
