September 13

We left Ferndale this morning and drove to Port Angeles.  We drove on interstate 5 thru Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia a distance of around a 150 miles and it was pretty much bumper to bumper traffic all the way,  we were so glad to get off that.  We got off and drove 101 and are on the North Olympic Peninsula  at  Port Angeles.   It sits between the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympia Mountains. Victoria is just 20 miles away by ferry on Vancouver Island B.C.  We are thinking it might be fun to go over there, of the weather is nice.   We parked in a Walmart lot and plan on staying here at least a couple of days.
