August 3rd.....Homer

We got to Homer a couple of days ago and are parked on the Homer Spit.  The Spit is a 5 mile extension of land in the Kachemak Bay.   It's kind of a neat place, lots of little shops and cafe's.   There are  a few RV parks, a large boat harbor, and lots and lots of charter fishing boats.
The weather has been cloudy and a bit rainy today.  We spent some time in the library this pm, using their wi-fi.  We went to the farmers market this morning.  We got some different jellies. One is
fireweed jelly made from the fireweed flowers. We had a sample that was very good.
We did go for a drive one day, the road had beautiful views of Kachemak Bay and glaciers and Mts.
The road ended on the beach at the head of Kachemak bay in a Russian village of Kachemak Selo.

This is the fireweed, so pretty and makes good jelly too
